About Us

Hi, I’m Whitson Rao, the founder and UX strategist behind WhiteScreen.VIP — a fullscreen white screen utility launched in September 2024 under my design studio, PurelyUX, based in the United States and Philippines. This tool was created with one goal in mind: to offer a clean, distraction-free screen experience for tasks like monitor testing, photography lighting, meditation, and focus-driven work.

As a developer and user experience (UX) specialist, I saw that most screen tools were overloaded with ads, popups, or cluttered interfaces. I wanted to build something different — something simple, fast, and purposeful that works seamlessly across all devices without the need for downloads or logins.

My journey into UX began at the University of the Philippines – Diliman, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (2009–2013). I specialized in Human-Computer Interaction and User Interface Design, and served as a UX Lab Researcher under Dr. Regina Reyes, focusing on frictionless digital tools. My capstone project, “Minimalist UI Systems for Cross-Device Applications,” laid the groundwork for my current design philosophy.

In 2020, I deepened my expertise through the Interaction Design Foundation, earning a Certification in UX Strategy with coursework in UX Psychology, Visual Hierarchies, and Minimal Design. These insights helped shape to launch on sep 2024 and ongoing development of WhiteScreen.VIP.

Today, the tool is trusted by photographers in Los Angeles, developers in Bangalore, and designers from Stanford to startup hubs worldwide — all seeking a pure white screen experience for real-world creative and technical use.

Thanks for using WhiteScreen.VIP — and for supporting tools that value clarity, minimalism, and user freedom.
